PLJ are focussed on delivering the highest standards of groundworks and construction to their clients on every project. Experts in their field and versatile in their approach, they are equally proficient in providing top-quality groundwork or the construction of reinforced concrete frames.

The majority of their clients come from within the public sector, and in the past these have included a number of hospitals and medical centres, as well as schools and colleges. Their work is not restricted to the public sector, however. Private sector clients have included shopping centres, for example.

PLJ benefit from an excellent relationship with many Local Authorities, and enjoy a long-term and successful partnership with Central Bedfordshire’s Aragon Housing Association.

Committed to ensuring that all health and safety legislation is adhered to at all times, PLJ has full accreditation from both CHAS (Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme) and CSHG (Construction Health and Safety Group and Construction Line).

All PLJ employees undertake training courses to ensure that the highest standards are delivered at every stage of every project. PLJ’s employees and sub-contractors regularly attend, and are fully committed to, CSCS and CPCS training courses.

With their own plant and fleet of vehicles, PLJ retain full control of every project by removing the reliance on third party providers for these key deliverables. Their personal ownership also ensures that all equipment arriving on site has been fully tested, inspected and certified as being in good working order, therefore significantly reducing the potential for project delays.
