16.03.11 - Sponsoring little Saints

Now that our legs have given up the ghost when it comes to running around a football pitch we have decided the pass on a little knowledge and wisdom and are really pleased that we are able to continue our sponsorship of St. Joseph’s Under 12’s  Football team, in Luton.

St. Joseph’s has a fantastic reputation as one of the most successful youth football teams in the area and we wish them the very best of luck for the rest of the season and for many more seasons to come.

28.02.11 - Another great project underway

We have recently started working with Morgan Sindall on the £1.7M, phase 3 of the Aylesbury Vale District Council project. The project is a great showcase of the construction of concrete frameworks and large culvert work. Over the coming months we will be keeping you updated with the project status.

05.12.10 - A credit to our Health, Safety and Environmental commitment

We are over the moon to have recently been recognised by Mansell Construction Service Ltd. as the sub-contractor to have made the most significant contribution to Health, Safety & Environmental issues at their Stone Grove site during the month of October.

Dear Sirs

During October, our site at 58-70 Stone Grove, Edgware achieved the Monthly Safety Award due to our combined efforts from our supply chain. Our site management team were asked to nominate the sub-contractor that made the biggest contribution to Health, Safety & Environmental issues in this period. I am delighted to announce that PLJ (Groundworks) Ltd was their preferred specialist on their site. I would like to thank you for achieving this accolade.

A photograph in recognition of this achievement is enclosed when Alan Moores, Supervisor, represented your site team. This photo and brief narrative will be posted on all our Enfield Business Unit sites within our Regional Safety News poster.

Safety is paramount for us all, whether it be taking care of our family and friends, or ensuring we remain vigilant in the workplace. Mansell are keen to raise awareness amongst our supply chain of our continuing efforts in improving our excellent safety record and have launched a new ZERO HARM initiative as explained in our brochures issued previously under separate cover, which I hope you will have found interesting.

Should you wish to discuss the content with me at any time, please feel free to give me a call.

Once again congratulations.
Yours sincerely

Ken Hems
Construction Manager

Proof, I hope you will agree, that PLJ are constantly aware of the issues that are faced within the workplace and how we work hard to ensure that we create and maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment to work in.
